Where is Eric Beale on NCIS: Los Angeles? The character’s status
Just in case you missed the information earlier this summer, the Eric character being MIA has little to do with a creative choice on the part of the show’s writers. Instead, it has a little bit more to do with what’s going on when it comes to Barrett Foa and his schedule.
As explained in the video below (if you enjoy it, remember to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube and also view our show playlist), Foa is taking some time away in order to take part in a production of Angels in America. It’s something that he wants to for the sake of fulfilling some of his passions, and the cast and crew of NCIS: Los Angeles is doing whatever they can in order to support him. That means making sure he has the time off he needs in order to complete his work in the theater.
Tonight, NCIS: Los Angeles explained Foa’s absence by saying that the character is still in San Francisco, working with a firm on a top-secret project. It’s one that is isolating him from Nell, who doesn’t know everything in terms of what he’s up to. So while she’s pouring a lot of time and concern into what is going on with her mother, there is this other issue that is also occupying her mind now at the same time. It’s a lot of stuff that she is being asked to take on mentally!
Rest assured, you will see Eric again and when you do, it’s going to be amidst a story all about what he’s been up to … and it could also be one with a lot of danger included. Consider this your opportunity to really see what he’s been up to, and for him to kick off his next arc on the show with a bang the moment that the opportunity arises for him to do so. Let’s just cross our fingers for the most epic Eric story imaginable to make up for the wait!
