Dancing with the Stars results preview: Will Kel Mitchell stick around?

Would he have been sent home when the dust settles? The answer to that is no, and mostly because of the fact that the judges have final say this season between the bottom two. Lamar Odom would have gone home over Kel, but that elimination for Lamar is inevitable. We’re going to be seeing him go on Monday pending some sort of enormous shock when it comes to voting. Because of that, we don’t want to spend too much time focusing on Lamar. Instead, let’s have a conversation about Kel.
Is there a way for Kel to turn things around when it comes to the vote? While it may sound somewhat crazy to say, we do think that he’s still got a good chance to stick around here for some still. A part of it will have to do with him continuing to showcase some solid dancing. Another part of it is him maybe leaning even more into what made him famous in the first place.
If we were Kel, what we would do at this moment is try to lean even more into why so many people love him. If that means creating some sort of dance inspired by Good Burger or one of his famous All That characters, then go for it. Showcase even more of his sense of humor and, beyond that, just have fun. Kel seems to be working hard at the moment on the show, so there are no questions in our mind about his ability. It’s more about finding a way for him to pop, and get some attention even from people who are not regularly watching the show.
