Wynonna Earp: Could a Waverly – Nicole wedding happen in season 4?
The first thing that we all should be aware — and quite happy about — is the fact that there is a season 4 in the first place. It’s clear that we went on a long, crazy journey in order to get to this point, and it’s a thrill to be able to see many of these different stories told.
Now, let’s move forward and talk about the Waverly/Nicole of it all. Over the first three seasons, we’ve had a chance to see these characters grow close, fall in love, and have one of the most beautiful and meaningful stories on all of TV. They’re getting closer to the point where there could be a larger commitment.
With this in mind, shouldn’t we cross our fingers and hope for a wedding in season 4? Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Weekly while at New York Comic-Con, here is some of what star Dominique Provost-Chalkley had to say:
“Because we have dealt with the relationship in such a beautiful, realistic way, I think maybe it would be another year of developing their relationship before [a wedding] … But that said, it would be such a joy to play it, and I really do hope that our characters get to live that out before the end of our journey.”
Of course, I’ll be rooting for there to be some sort of Wayhaught wedding in the future — can you imagine just how much fun that would be? Can you imagine the vows, Wynonna and Doc in attendance, and whatever Purgatory chaos would come along the way? There’s a lot that you could anticipate here. Yet, it seems as though maybe this is a storyline better suited for a season 5 than a season 4. There were indications during the #FightForWynonna movement that there was going to be another season in play at Syfy, and hopefully, that one will happen without anywhere near the sort of chaos and interruptions that were present over the past year.
