Entering NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 episode 2, it’s clear that Sam and Callen are going to be off in the Middle East!
So what are the two doing there in the country? It seems like, in part, they are working with Eliana and Mossad in order to take down a drug distributor kingpin in the city. Sam and Callen are communicating with one another in the sneak peek below, doing what they can to gather information from a number of different locations. For Sam in particular, he’s finding himself in a spot where he’s stuck within a tiny shack with no air conditioning and almost 100-degree weather. This is a very miserable situation that he finds himself in but hey, isn’t it only temporary? They take out their target and then, on the other side, they can move on to the next thing. We have a hard time imagining that they will be spending the rest of the season separate from the remainder of the team.

What’s a little more curious to us is how far Callen is willing to go to achieve success in this mission. Remember that there are photos out there, let alone video footage, of him kissing Eliana. What does that mean? It’s easy to have one read on it and suggest that there’s something romantic blossoming between the two. However, at the same time you could have another read entirely and say that this is all a part of the mission. Trickery comes with the job … right? You need to be able to throw people off the scent of what you’re doing at every opportunity possible.
All in all, for everyone out there who wants to see a somewhat-quintessential episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, this should prove to be right up your alley.
