Supergirl (Kara & Lena) vs. The Resident (Conrad & Nic) – ‘Shiptober poll
Within this article, we’re kicking off the second half of the first round in a big, exciting way! In one corner, we have the reigning champs in Kara & Lena from Supergirl, looking to claim another big victory this time around. Yet, they have some competition today in Conrad & Nic from The Resident, a show with very much a loyal following in its own right. They’re two very different ‘ships, but in the end, one will have a chance to move forward.

Kara & Lena, Supergirl (#1 seed) – In order to be heartbroken, you really need to feel love first. That’s why Lena Luthor took the news so hard about Kara being Supergirl at the end of season 4. She invested so much into that relationship and understanding that Kara was one of the few people in the world she could trust. She was a shoulder to lean on, and now, she’s wondering entering season 5 if that is gone. Will they be able to patch things up? Some of that is going to be dependent on how far Kara is willing to go to repair things, and how willing Lena is eventually to listen. For now, we remain hopeful.
Conrad & Nic, The Resident (#8 seed) – Meanwhile, with Conic what we have is a ‘ship that has gone through its fair share of highs and lows … but could be moving in a good direction at the moment. Consider the chickens! Also, consider the journey that they’ve been on from the start of this season. We hope that the producers do opt to keep moving forward with the two of them as a couple given that breaking them up at this point would just feel unnecessary — there are so many other places to mine drama at the moment.
