Supergirl season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Can Kara, Lena mend fences?

What lies ahead on Supergirl season 5 episode 3 is going to be something that there’s been excitement to see all summer. What is that? Think along the lines of Kara trying to figure out if she can fix the friendship that she had at one point with Lena Luthor.

Given everything that happened at the end of season 4, it’s easy to understand why Lena would be a little angry. After all, think about what happened! She learned that one of her best friends had been lying about a major part of their lives — and, to go along with that, she also feuded with said alter ego. Lena may also be upset at herself for not seeing this a little bit faster, especially when you consider the physical similarities between the two.

So how can Kara make this right? It may take a little bit more than bringing Chinese food to Lena and talking about their day-to-day activities. Below, CarterMatt has the full Supergirl season 5 episode 3 synopsis with some more information on what’s coming up next:

There is obviously the friendship part of the equation with Kara and Lena, as we feel as though Melissa Benoist’s character will do just about everything that she can to make things right to keep Lena in her life. But, there’s also this important part of the equation: Kara on some level needs Lena. She’s a valuable asset in National City and she’s someone who is extremely smart and capable of stopping villains using her mind and her technology. She’s a valuable friend to have, and she’s a terrible enemy. We want to still believe that Lena is good, but much of this upcoming season will be a battle to determine that one way or another.
