Lucifer (Lucifer & Chloe) vs. Hawaii Five-0 (Junior & Tani) – ‘Shiptober poll

'Shiptober

Welcome to ‘Shiptober 2019! Throughout the month of October, CarterMatt will be bringing you our annual tournament featuring some of best ‘ships in all of TV. What is a ‘ship? It is comprised of characters you want to see together romantically. Maybe they’re already together, or maybe they’ve never been together. It doesn’t matter. ‘Shipping is one of the most popular parts of any TV fandom, it’s super fun and this tournament is a celebration of that.

Within this piece, we’re finishing off the first half of our poll with Lucifer & Chloe from Lucifer squaring off against Junior & Tani from Hawaii Five-0 — think of these as two great examples of pairs that we want to see together, even though both of them is facing off with at least some sort of obstacle. The obstacle that face in this poll is, quite frankly, each other — but one of them is going to make it to round 2 and be that much closer to victory.

Voting Rules – Voting will be underway in the poll below from now until Saturday, October 12 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. Vote however often you’d like! (For more voting instructions or technical questions, check out the bottom of this article for answers.)

Be sure that you subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube — there are frequent video discussions there for many of the shows discussed in this tournament!

Lucifer & Chloe, Lucifer (#2 seed) – What are we looking at here? Think along the lines of a couple in Deckerstar who there is a passionate following out there for — and for perfectly good reason. There’s a lot of love here and it’s obvious to the both of them — the primary obstacle that they’re having to square off against at the moment is a little something known as Hell. Lucifer Morningstar is currently there to ensure that demons don’t overrun the earth … and it remains to be seen how he can both do that and also get back to the woman he loves.

Junior & Tani, Hawaii Five-0 (#7 seed) – On the flip side, what we have here is a case of two characters who haven’t found a way to overcome their own mental blockers about their feelings. It feels obvious, at least to us, that the two of them care about each other. So what’s keeping them from being together? Think along the lines of either insecurity, the job, or the fear that it will hurt their friendship. No matter the reason, though, it feels obvious that these two characters are on this round.

Now, it’s your turn

I can’t see the poll; what do I do? – If you are on mobile, scroll to the bottom of the page and click to view the non-AMP version. If that does not work, give the poll a moment to load! On some mobile browsers, it may take a moment.

How can I vote more than once? – If you are having trouble casting multiple votes, try switching your browser, your device, or visiting the page under private browsing or incognito mode. There should be many handy guides online explaining how to do so if interested.
