Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 2 sneak peek: A tunnel collapse murder

Going into Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 2, there’s a good chance that you heard that a tunnel collapse is a big part of the story already. What you may be wondering is how this gets folded into Five-0 territory. Isn’t this the job for the local fire department or some other disaster-oriented entity?

On paper, the simple answer there is yes … but we’ve learned at this point that Five-0 has a tendency to go above and beyond … and they’re going to continue to do so here as well. In the sneak peek below, you’re going to have a chance to see how Junior and Tani get involved in this in the first place. After hearing about it on the news, they decide to spring into action, knowing full well that they have the skill set to help. They make sure that people from the tunnel are evacuated, but in the midst of piecing through the rubble, they make a startling discovery: A pair of dead bodies. Also, it doesn’t seem as though these two died as a result of the collapse.

So what is going on here? It may be a tad bit more complicated than just your run-of-the-mill murder. Whoever did this quite possibly started the tunnel collapse in order to ensure that it was harder for someone to see what they’ve done. Now, Junior and Tani are in a position where the very people they’ve helped to evacuate could end up being suspects. They may need to coordinate with some other people in Five-0 to do interviews and something else on the outside. They have to track down a killer and, to go along with that, work to also ensure that people are safe. They may also have to do the same thing with each other, as the collapse could end up leading to the two of them getting stuck.

While all of this is going on, life’s not going to be altogether easy for Steve McGarrett elsewhere. Just remember what’s going on with him on the other side of this episode, as he’s going to find himself dealing with the bomb threat that was revealed at the end of the premiere.
