Outlander season 5 at New York Comic-Con: Everything to expect
So what should you expect from the big event prior to it taking place? Let’s start with the essential details. This Saturday (October 5), the panel discussion is going to happen at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. This is going to begin at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time, and it’s going to feature some of the following per the official convention synopsis:
Cast members Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Duncan LaCroix, Maria Doyle Kennedy and David Berry, along with novelist Diana Gabaldon, will discuss the upcoming season of the Starz series. The latest installment of the time travel series finds the Fraser family fighting for their family and the home they’ve built for themselves on Fraser’s Ridge.
So what could be shown? Think in terms of at least a teaser, if not an extended trailer or some sort of behind-the-scenes featurette. We suppose that it’s possible that there will be a full screening for the premiere, but it’d be a tad unusual to do so four months before a show comes on the air. (Still, anything is still possible within this particular world.) If there is official news on a live stream, we’ll have it when it gets a little closer.
As for the rest of the convention, know that the Outlander coverage isn’t just going to stop with what’s going on with the panel. There are some interviews featuring the cast that will take place with various outlets. Some of those may be streamed, while some others will surface over the course of the day. There’s a lot of stuff that happens over the course of a short period of time, and this should help to give us our Outlander fix over the course of the next few weeks.
All in all, expect Saturday to be a really big day for all sorts of great headlines within the world of Outlander.
