Arrow season 8 spoilers: Colton Haynes’ return confirmed!
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Haynes will be back in a recurring capacity for the final batch of episodes. He was a series regular for season 7 but weeks ago, it was confirmed that he would not be back in that capacity. That was a shame, even though it made sense given that he wasn’t in a good many of the episodes over the past year.

This news now goes along with the fact that Willa Holland will be coming back as Thea Queen for a certain percentage of the episodes, and that you will also see appearances from Colin Donnell, Josh Segarra, and a number of other familiar faces from past seasons. We do get a great sense that Arrow wants to give you more or less a Greatest Hits album before saying goodbye once and for all, and allowing for Thea and Roy to get some airtime together should prove to be a way to do all of this.
As for how Arrow is going to do all of this and also do Crisis on Infinite Earths … well, let’s just say that this will probably prove to be quite a challenge in its own right given how many names have been confirmed already. There are some big ones still out there in the air, though, including Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson and then also, of course, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak. The former series regular decided to depart at the end of season 7 and while there’s no guarantee that she will come back, we remain hopeful that we’ll have a chance to see it happen.
