This Is Us season 4 episode 4 spoilers: Kevin reflects in ‘Flip a Coin’

Maybe that has to do with a big choice that is going to be made, and a story that will involve the past and present in a lot of different ways. 10/15/2019 (09:00PM – 10:01PM) (Tuesday) : Kevin reflects on his past. Rebecca visits Randall at college. Beth’s mom comes to visit. Kate and Toby share new experiences with Baby Jack. TV-14 L

Which one of these stories is the most fascinating to look at? Our feeling is that Kevin’s past is going to be essential to what’s going on in the present. This is someone who is working on trying to be more selfless than selfish — that’s why he went so far out of his way in order to ensure that he can be there for Nicky. He’s trying to prove that he’s more than a successful actor and a guy who tends to put himself first. There’s going to be an interesting evolution throughout this season and we’re excited to see a lot of that play out.

Meanwhile, seeing the story of Kate and Toby should be interesting just in terms of connecting the dots. We already know that Jack ends up finding happiness and success much later in life and with that, some of the pressure of this story is taken away. Yet, there could still be some drama in the road that gets him there, and that’s one of the things worth watching through the rest of the season.
