It’s not like they’re going to make life somewhat manageable for her in the early going … she’ll have to take on a ton of drama almost right away!

Could Stella’s leadership training end up bringing her in a new direction? That’s something to wonder, and it continues the perpetual struggle at the heart of this show. You want to see these characters move on to bigger and better things. Yet, at the same time you don’t want them to be promoted out of the firehouse! Granted, the leadership training for Stella may be a foundation rather than an endgame … but it is something worth thinking about a little bit.

Meanwhile, we do wonder what the new technology is going to do when it comes to turning things around and changing the game over at Firehouse 51. The truth is, it’s hard for anyone in this world to accept change.
