Outlander season 5: New Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe BTS fun
The image HERE was posted on Monday from the official account of Heughan, and it shows Jamie and Claire having a bit of fun with their daughter — or, it just shows the three actors having a good time on set. This looks to be one of those great candid shows, the ones that you hold onto for months and years after the show. It’s the sort that you look back at and feel some fond memories of, including where you were in the moment and how it felt to be out on set working to make the show as great as possible.
To think Outlander is now in the midst of its home stretch! We are almost a good six months into production on the upcoming season now, and we’re getting to a point where filming will be close to wrapping up. It’s not happening in the immediate future, as Skelton and Richard Rankin will be working still while Heughan, Balfe, and others are at New York Comic-Con soon. However, you will have a chance to see the cast done, pending some shocking amount of time spent on the final episodes, before the arrival of the holidays. They can have some time to kick back and relax before starting whatever they can in the new year. (Of course, we know that Balfe will have some promotion beforehand on her upcoming Ford v. Ferrari movie. Sam will be doing the same thing in the new year for his upcoming Bloodshot movie.)
While we know that there will be a lot of drama over the course of Outlander season 5, we are excited about this: Just how much you’re going to have a chance to see the whole Fraser family together! It’s something that there weren’t many opportunities for in season 4 — after all, shortly after “The Birds and the Bees,” Jamie and Claire were split up from Brianna once more.
