‘Mad Men’ season 6 spoilers: When will Don Draper be back?

You’ve likely already see some of the new photos focusing on the likes of Don and Megan Draper (or Jon Hamm and Jessica Pare, if you don’t want to get into character) filming the sixth season of “Mad Men” in part in Hawaii. Now, we know at least part of an answer to a key question: when this show is going to be back on AMC with new episodes.

According to a report from TVLine, the network and the producers are actually going to do us a favor this year and not make us wait longer than a year between seasons. While there is no confirmation just yet as to a specific air date, we can say that the series will be back in a similar sort of time frame that it was during season 5. Therefore, the world of SCDP will probably be back on the small screen not too long after the end of “The Walking Dead” this season; and hopefully, it will come up almost immediately after the third season is over.

The only real caveat here is that the zombie drama is a little longer this year, and this could either push “Mad Men” back by a few weeks or the two may actually run as a part of the same lineup for a couple of weeks. Considering the sort of lead-in that “The Walking Dead” is, we would certainly love the ratings boost here, but they also already have the “Talking Dead” aftershow to think about.

Granted, we don’t know much about this season yet save for the Hawaii scenes, and we may not know too much more given the show’s policy on being tight-lipped when it comes to major scoop. Everyone has their own opinion on what they would like to see, and admittedly we have a little bit of a controversial opinion in that we like Megan and don’t mind having her around.

What do you think about the start date, and what do you want to see?
