SEAL Team season 3 spoilers: David Boreanaz on Jason’s struggle
Remember, at the end of season 2 Jason opted to sell his home to give his kids a better education — it may have been the right decision, but it’s one that he is still struggling with.
Speaking in a new interview with TVInsider, here is some of what series star David Boreanaz had to say on the subject of where you find him in the new season — plus, some of what he is going through:
“His headspace going into these missions is like a high-octane, 650-horsepower Mustang that just roars. Down the line that affects him … You can’t blame the guy for putting all his energy into the job. Jason has been worn down by the loss of his wife [who died last season in a car accident] and his kids going off to college and boarding school … There he is alone, out of the house he sold, living in a one-bedroom [place] above a garage.”

We would imagine that he is compartmentalizing everything he is feeling and trying to not think about where he is at home at the moment. Just remember this: There’s a good chance that this will only work for so long before some of those emotions come running back. With the Serbia mission, he’s at least kept himself busy over the past few weeks.
