FBI season 2 episode 3 preview: Sasha Alexander to guest star!
Yet, FBI is a show within the Dick Wolf family. If there’s one thing that we’ve learned about these shows over the years, it’s that they don’t often veer in the expected direction. Don’t just assume that Alexander’s character is in trouble because she is a political figure. Meanwhile, don’t also assume that this episode is going to be super-political in terms of viewpoints. One of the reasons for Wolf’s success as a producer is that he has tried to never make his shows lean too much one way or another in terms of bias. He’s tried to play it, one way or another, somewhat down the middle.
Below, CarterMatt has the full FBI season 2 episode 3 synopsis with some other news all about what’s coming up next:
“American Idol” – After a front-running female presidential candidate, Valerie Caldwell (Sasha Alexander), is targeted with a car bomb, OA and Maggie must hurry to track down the bomber before they strike again. The case leads them to wonder whether this person is targeting Caldwell for her political aspirations or something else, on FBI, Tuesday, Oct. 8 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The timing of this episode is certainly no coincidence — the producers of FBI know that this is an episode airing right in the thick of campaign season. With that in mind, there’s never been a better opportunity for them to get a lot of attention on the show. That’s especially the case when you think about the aforementioned guest star that they have.
