NCIS season 17 episode 3 preview: ‘Going Rogue’ + a talk about Ziva
This is an episode that will be notable from a Ziva perspective in this way: She won’t be physically presence for the first time this season, but she is still going to tie into the story. These are characters who have went through a lot because of her suddenly turning back up. It’s not anything that they’re used to, and for people like McGee, it was like learning that a family member had come back from the dead. You don’t just wake up a week or two later and feel the same way that you did before learning the news.

“Going Mobile” – After the body of a Marine Lieutenant is found hidden under an 18-wheeler, the NCIS team tracks the vehicle’s previous locations to pinpoint the crime scene and suspect. Also, Sloane encourages the team to sit down and talk about Ziva’s recent reappearance, on NCIS, Tuesday, Oct. 8 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
In general, this is probably going to be the most prototypical of any NCIS story we’ve had so far this season: Sure, Ziva’s still going to be a part of it, but you will also have more of a traditional case here at the same time. These will always be the backbone to NCIS being the show that it is — you have good guys, bad guys, justice, and then a hope that some of the heroes can sleep easy enough at the end of it. “Going Mobile” should prove to be no different.
