NCIS season 17 episode 2 sneak peeks: Does Ziva still want Sahar dead?

NCIS season 17 episode 2 is going to be arriving on CBS tomorrow night, and it’s already clear that “Into the Light” will bring a LOT of stuff to the table. You’ll see the aftermath of what is going on with Gibbs, Ziva, and Sahar, along with everything else when it comes to how the other team members are reacting to her arrival/not being dead.

We have two sneak peeks for examination within this piece, but let’s kick things off here with the first. In here, you can see what is going on with Torres and McGee, who are desperate to keep Bishop’s whereabouts a secret — even from their boss Leon Vance. They go so far as to lie to him, and then comment about it after the fact given that this is the sort of thing that could get them in trouble down the road.

Here’s just a general rule: Don’t lie to your boss, especially if that boss is Vance. It usually doesn’t end up working out all that well. We’re sure that they will try to explain it away to Vance after the fact, but unless they have an exceptional reason for lying to him, we don’t know that it will go without repercussions.

As for the second sneak peek, this one is more Ziva-specific and takes place seemingly following the events of the premiere. Cote de Pablo’s character is working with Gibbs in order to ensure that they bring Sahar in somewhere, which in this case means some sort of podunk Sheriff’s office without even all that much of a holding cell. While they managed to get Sahar there, that doesn’t mean that Ziva is eager to keep her alive. She still wants to take her out one way or another, but Gibbs doesn’t seem to be excited to have that happen.

This back-and-forth tension could be present throughout the remainder of this episode, but we also know that there is another added twist here — the fact that there are still some secrets about Ziva floating around out there! There is no guarantee that Ziva is working with terrorists, but at one point, it is going to be very much a concern.
