Fear the Walking Dead season 6: Is Morgan returning? EPs speak out

We wish that we were going to be able to offer some more answers sooner rather than later on all of this. Unfortunately, we don’t have a sense that this is going to be happening at any point in the near future. It’s very well possible that the writers are going to be entering the new season with as many different question marks as possible. For now, it doesn’t make sense for Ian B. Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss to confirm things one way or another.
For now, here is some of what Goldberg had to say via Entertainment Weekly:
Oh, you said it. It certainly doesn’t look good for Morgan. We’ve seen Morgan survive some pretty scary things in the past, but this might be the biggest test he’s faced yet. He’s completely alone. He’s without his entire group. He’s been shot. He’s got walkers encroaching upon him. So you know, as Andrew has said, he tells everyone else to live, whether he’ll be able to do that, we’ll have to see. And we’ll have to see if even his message reached the rest of the group because there’s nothing that tells us that anyone even heard. So that’s a question for season 6.
Meanwhile, Chambliss notes that there are some other big questions to ponder about here that go beyond just the nature of Morgan’s survival:
And I think it’s a larger question than just whether or not Morgan’s going to live. It’s whether this whole way of life that he was trying to build of trying to be better and trying to make the world a better place, whether that’s going to be able to live or whether that’s going to die as Ginny tries to have her own way.
One way or another, we have a feeling that we’ll get some more news when it comes to Morgan’s fate on Fear the Walking Dead season 6 — probably in the opening minutes. There’s no real reason for the show to wait on giving answers then.
