The Rookie season 2: Where is Bishop? Afton Williamson’s status

On Sunday night on ABC, you are going to be seeing the return of The Rookie season 2. There could be many exciting stories to come; yet, there is still a cloud hanging over it due to what happened over the course of the past few months. This is where we get to the question at the heart of this article: Where is Bishop, and the actress who played her in Afton Williamson?

Well, if you missed the news, the dark cloud over the show has to do with the circumstances surrounding Williamson’s exit. Earlier this summer, she publicly disclosed allegations of on-set harassment and assault that led to her making a decision to depart the series as a result of it. The studio behind the series announced that they had initiated an independent investigation into the allegations; that investigation is reportedly complete and per the news that was out there, they found no evidence of on-set wrongdoing.

If you missed Afton’s response to the end of the investigation, you can see that HERE. The writers are going to explain Bishop’s exit by saying that she’s moving to a new phase of her career, and we’re going to miss both her and her relationship with Nolan at the same time.

As for season 2, the show must go on and it will. Nolan will spend time with some new characters as he gets more experience under his belt … and also figure out more of his future.
