‘True Blood’ season 6: Carrie Preston on Alexander Skarsgard hopes
“True Blood” may have already started some of its casting for the upcoming sixth season airing next summer on HBO, but the show has not started to film just yet, and will not do so until early next year. So with all of this in mind, isn’t it time to keep a little bit of speculation going?
For this very thing, we turn to a new interview that Carrie Preston gave recently to Wetpaint, where she shared a series of new thoughts about just how badly she would love to do some work this time around with some of the show’s vampire population; though by this, we have to assume that she is not so much talking about the new vampire demigod that is Bill Compton:
“I would really love to see her interact with the vampires. I don’t want a show about the bar — I’d like to be on a show about vampires! So I would really like to see just a little more interaction with that. I mean, I’ve never even done a scene with Alexander Skarsgard or Kristin Bauer!”
We do very much see where Preston is coming from here, mostly because her character of Arlene has seen most of her stories over the years typically revolve around one of the show’s other characters, whether it be Rene back in season 1, Sam Merlotte and Lafayette at times, and of course her new romance with Terry, who had quite a crazy and polarizing story all season long.
What would you like to see happen with Arlene moving forward? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below!

I want Arlene to become a vampire, that would be fun.
