Who doesn’t love to see a familiar face coming back to “Castle,” especially when it is someone who is as memorable as this? In a move that seems like it should have happened quite a while ago, we are finally going to be seeing Alexis’ mother turn up again for an episode airing early next year.
According to a new report from TV Guide, “Scandal” star Darby Stanchfield will specifically be back for an episode that is going to more than just awkward for Castle … it’ll be awkward for everyone. Why? Her character of Castle’s ex Meredith will be back in order to take her daughter on a trip to Europe, but things don’t go according to plan when Alexis develops a case of mono, which leads to her staying to help take care of her. While this is happening, there is also another issue in that Beckett is having her place fumigated (hopefully not by Walter White), and she will be crashing at his place.
So for those of you trying to create some sort of count here, this means that there will be in total four separate women who are all staying at Castle’s home at the given time once you throw Martha in there. How is he going to be able to control this situation? Really, we just have to go by the short answer here: it’s probably not going to happen without any bumps in the road.
What do you think about Stanchfield’s return, and are you worried at all that her presence will start to make Beckett worry that she could find herself in a similar position to Meredith someday?
