New Amsterdam season 2 episode 2 preview: How will Max move forward?
As we prepare for this episode, one of the things that we’re going to see is Max doing what he can to find comfort in the smaller things. That involves getting more immersed in the hospital and doing everything that he can to help others. If he cannot help himself, this is going to serve as an incredible source of comfort for him. That’s where he will have a chance to take a few deep breaths and learn how to live again. It’s not something where you open your eyes one morning and feel like the same person again.

Luckily, we do think that we’re going to spend some time watching some of the other doctors be that shoulder for him to lean on or that way to feel better. Max may also be working through some various initiatives at the hospital with the simple idea in mind of trying to find a way to build more of a community.

10/01/2019 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Tuesday) : Max invokes a hospital-wide census in effort to get to know the staff of New Amsterdam on a deeper level. Reynolds takes a leap of faith that lands him in hot water, and Dr. Castro extends her treatment plan to more patients in the hospital. TV-14 D, L, S
We do think watching Max find himself again should make for compelling television, but we don’t think that New Amsterdam is going to reinvent itself and transition into some completely different show sporting a separate kind of skin. This is the same series that you’ve come to know and love for so long and fundamentally, there won’t be any changes in that sense. The medical drama will still be there, as will some of the serious, heightened stakes for a number of the different doctors.
