Succession season 2 episode 8 preview: The Dundee journey
What’s going to be happening there? It’s a chance for Logan to go home, where he can spend a little bit of time reflecting on the person that he was SO many years ago — think life before the empire. The problem that goes along with that is whether he is going to be able to see himself in any way similar to who he once was? Will he recognize the landmarks? Will the people be receptive to him? One of the things that we’ve certainly seen is that not everyone is altogether receptive to success — some view it with a certain degree of scorn or frustration.
Below, CarterMatt has the official Succession season 2 episode 8 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up:
The entire Roy clan travels to Logan’s hometown of Dundee, Scotland, for a celebration of Logan’s 50 years in the business; Kendall becomes enamored with Jennifer, an actress in Willa’s play; a former employee proves difficult to silence.
If we were to look into our Succession crystal ball here for a moment, we foresee that Logan’s big return overseas is going to be met with good and bad reactions. Meanwhile, we can easily imagine Kendall finding a lot of things that he loves when it comes to Jennifer … but it all blows up in his face. Note that the synopsis doesn’t say all that much about her being enamored with him; this could be one of those sort of one-sided relationships that ends with a certain degree of disaster. We’d go ahead and say to be prepared for that, and then to not be altogether surprised when things blow up in his face and it leads to a larger scandal.
