NCIS season 17: Cote de Pablo on decision to return, Mark Harmon, more!
If you look below, you can see an extended interview with Cote courtesy of the folks at BUILD Series, one that contains all sorts of good stuff about not only the show, but about Cote herself. She discussed in here what it was like coming back at the end of season 16, the mystery around it, and also one of the reasons why she came back. She discussed a conversation that she had with a writer on the show (and friend) in Gina Lucita Monreal about where Ziva could be in 2019. This conversation led to a long conversation with the executive producers, and once the right story was in place, she came back. There’s so much good stuff in this interview, but perhaps one of the best things about it may very well be a lot of the personal insight that you get from Cote herself. This is an actress that is very much private, so this is a rare opportunity to actually hear about her life and her travels from her point of view. There are also some great anecdotes, including how Mark Harmon showed up for one of the meetings prior to her being on the show. It was a welcome surprise, something that she did not see coming. She also takes some questions from fans on social media plus people within the studio.
Expect Cote de Pablo to be present for at least a few episodes beyond Tuesday night’s premiere — she’ll be in episode 2, plus one airing later this fall (presumably) and then also early next year. Hopefully, we’ll get some more scoop on this soon enough.
