The Flash season 6 premiere spoilers: Killer Frost’s near-death experience

Flash season 4

Based on what we’re hearing at the moment about The Flash season 6 premiere at the moment, there is a LOT that is going on. Not only that, but we’re also getting a chance to get a few updates when it comes to the state of Barry and Iris’ relationship, but you’ve also got a big story like no other for Killer Frost — one that we’re hoping sets the stage for some other great stuff in the future.

For more information on all of this, we suggest that you go ahead and check out the official The Flash season 6 premiere synopsis below:

SEASON PREMIERE – While Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) deal with the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Nora, the team faces their greatest threat yet — one that threatens to destroy all of Central City. Meanwhile, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) has a brush with death that results in an unexpected new dynamic that will change her relationship with Caitlin forever. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Eric Wallace & Kelly Wheeler. Original airdate 10/8/2019.

When it comes to the threat that could be hitting Central City, we gotta imagine that it’s the looming presence of the events of Crisis On Infinite Earths. It’s not a surprise — everyone knows that something is coming, as they’ve seen and heard the warnings at this point. Barry has to wrestle with the idea of death or something else, and it’s coming so soon after Nora was completely wiped out of the timeline. This is going to be a painful, pretty-dark storyline for the show — one of the darkest that the writers have potentially thrown our way.

As for that aforementioned Killer Frost storyline, we sense that this is going to be a great foundation to a lot of other good stuff down the road. One of the things that season 5 struggled with at times was giving great plots to the supporting characters consistently — things could be different this time around, as Killer Frost’s alter ego Caitlin could also have a lot to do. She has a history of some sort with the big bad Bloodwork, or at least back when he was more of a normal person.
