Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 2: Can Eddie save McGarrett’s home?

As we look towards Hawaii Five-0 season 10 episode 2 airing on CBS come October 4, one thing feels clear already: This is an Eddie the dog showcase! All of a sudden, we’re going to have a chance to see if one of our favorite four-legged friends can save the way — possibly on a number of different occasions.

“Kuipeia e ka makani apaa” – Tani and Junior must plot an escape for themselves and several civilians after they become trapped inside a deadly tunnel collapse, while Five-0 investigates the cause and culprits of the cave-in. Also, Eddie the dog uses his field experience and sniffs out a bomb that has been planted in McGarrett’s home, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Oct. 4 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

(“Kuipeia e ka makani apaa” is Hawaiian for “Knocked flat by the wind; sudden disaster”)

We’ve seen via social-media teases already that Eddie may be involved in the tunnel storyline, and will even don a specialized mask for it; this episode feels like the Must Love Dogs of all things related to the CBS show. Seeing him save McGarrett’s home should also be fun, and another reminder that Steve made the perfect decision in deciding to keep Eddie as a part of his family.

Beyond Eddie, we’re always going to be glad to have more from Tani and Junior given that we do want to see their relationship move and progress in different ways throughout the season.
