The Blacklist season 7 trailer: A new quest to save Reddington

Does it really include a lot of footage that we haven’t seen before? Not exactly. By and large, we’d consider it to be a combination of the promo that we’ve seen already and the behind-the-scenes featurette that was shared by the network. Nonetheless, it does make it clear that Raymond is in peril at the hands of Katarina, whose primary endgame seems to be based more than ever on extracting some sort of information from him. What could it be? That’s one question, but the other is why exactly it has taken this much time in order for Katarina to strike in the first place. Was she just willing to be patient until Raymond turned up in order to make her move? We have to consider that one possibility at the moment.
While Reddington is captured, you better believe that we’re going to be seeing Liz Keen enlist the help of the Task Force in order to find him. She goes to them in the preview hoping that they can band together — or at least she does after Dembe told her that Reddington was taken. What’s still unclear is this — does Liz know that he is being held captive by Katarina? While you hear Katarina’s name uttered many times in the trailer, it’s never done directly in relation to everything else that is going on.
Throughout the upcoming batch of episodes, we’re prepared to see Katarina have more of a presence … including some possible attempts by her to infiltrate Liz’s life. We imagine that she will want to keep her identity a secret, but how will she be able to after already meeting Reddington? That is another question that this preview seems to be very much eager to examine.
