This afternoon, Jackson (winner of the final four Veto) chose to clue Head of Household Nicole in on a rather-uncomfortable truth for her moving forward into the rest of the week: We’re going to see the end of the road for Cliff. He spun it in a way where he claimed the decision was easy, mostly because of all of the various stuff that Cliff has done over the past few days — including acting somewhat like a mob boss in his efforts to get Jackson and Holly to turn on each other. He also claimed that the moment that Cliff and Nicole acted like they were going to evict Holly, that was the end of the alliance as he knew it. He was ready to move forward and onto some other things within the game … even if that meant playing dirty. He views some of what we’ve seen from Cliff as below-the-belt play, which then justified him playing the same way.
Nicole accepted the information that she was told, and also admitted that she suspected that this could happen. She felt bad for Cliff, though at the same time it’s very clear that Cliff has done some of this stuff to himself with the way that he’s played aggressively the past few days. With that said, though, we’re not sure that anything would’ve been altogether difficult for Cliff/Nicole even if there was no attempts at making deals this week to get Jackson to evict his own showmance.
In the end, Cliff doesn’t have much of a chance at staying — we don’t really see a configuration in which he is going to be able to stay. Why would Jackson choose to send Holly packing when she may take him to the end?
