While you have to wait until September 25 in order to see The Masked Singer season 2 in action, there will be a chance to get a few teases in advance!
On Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, Fox is going to air what they are calling a Super Sneak Peek. What does that mean? Think along the lines of an opportunity, per the teaser below, to get a few new clues at some of the superstars who are behind the mask this time around. You’re also going to get a chance to see some of the new costumes, hear some funny banter between the judges, and even get a cameo from season 1 winner T-Pain! He tells Nick Cannon in the video that since winning season 1, he’s referred to as “The Monster” almost everywhere that he goes.

When The Masked Singer premiered early this year, it almost automatically became a ratings and pop-culture sensation. Was it flawed? Sure. The clues were too easy and social-media caused almost everyone to be spoiled within a couple of episodes. Yet, the foundation of the show was surprisingly solid and there was something so fundamentally appealing about getting a chance to see so many different masked performers hit the stage. A lot of it had to do with their own willingness to go for it and indulge in some ridiculous fun.
Also, there were some journeys for the contestants that were surprisingly moving. The masks enabled them at times to overcome stage fright and find a different side to themselves. Sure, they may have been at times sweaty and difficult to see out of, but they also offered a chance for people to take on a new persona. There’s always going to be a part of T-Pain that is the Monster, and the same can be said for any of the celebrities who take part in the second season.
