Bachelor in Paradise 2020: Five things to change for season 7

Bachelor in Paradise season 5 premiere date

Just last month, it was officially announced that Bachelor in Paradise is coming back for another season! That’s a great news — yet, is there still something still missing? Is there another gear that this show can go to? We’d actually say that there are many new gears.

Let’s start off by noting this — clearly, Paradise is a better show than Bachelor Pad ever was. It finds a way to bend together romance and drama well, but there are still flaws — especially when it comes to the end of its seasons and there are some long periods without any drama. Production almost had to set up some with Connor and Whitney just to make things more compelling!

In order to try to help out a little here, what we have for you below are five suggested changes for Bachelor in Paradise 2020.

Better Dates – The show can stay in Mexico if it wants to, but it needs to find a way to inject more creativity into what we see! Clearly, the producers are running out of ideas and almost all of these at this point feel the same.

Better Vetting of Past Relationships – It’s inescapable that you’re going to have people on this show who have known and dated each other. Yet, isn’t there a way to make it so that you at least have more people who didn’t date or meet up with regularity? It feels like so much of the drama of this season took place before filming began.

Less Reliance on Recent Alum – Remember Jane? Remember Christian? Rather than bringing on so many night 1 eliminees, we’d rather see this show tap more into popular figures from the past — as long as there’s been a break in between.

More Humor – Other than Dean’s mustache and a Matt Donald kissing segment, we didn’t have the same amount of silliness that we’ve had in past years. Isn’t there a way to add a little bit more of that to the equation?

More for Couples to Do After Getting Together – Could there be some sort of specialized activities for couples once they start to pair up? Take, for example, Hannah G and Dylan — couldn’t you have gotten them to do some organized activity to test their relationship or have fun with each other? After people got together this year, there was too much of people just sitting on the beach — may you enroll the pairs in dance classes or something.
