Better Call Saul season 5: What’s left after filming?
So, with that in mind, what’s next? What should we expect from the cast and crew moving forward now? Well, for many of them, their work is most likely done. Yet, for others there may be a little more to do beyond just your traditional editing/scoring of episodes. In a post on Twitter, executive producer Thomas Schnauz confirmed that for him, one of the things that he has been doing over the past week is going around and doing some reshoots. What this entails is just making sure that all of the imagery and every moment from the season is perfect. This is a show that strives for that so much — every single scene and every single moment matters. It’s almost movie-like in that way. That’s one of the reasons why it takes so long for these seasons to come out — they are careful with them. We imagine that it could come about a little bit faster if the cast and crew rushed things along, but what would the reason be for them to do that. What’s the benefit? The short answer is that fundamentally, there is no benefit.
There is also plenty of time still between now and Better Call Saul season 5, as new episodes are slated to premiere early next year. What you can expect to see during some of those is a chance at continued evolution for one Jimmy McGill. He will be working to do whatever he can in order to adopt his new Saul Goodman persona and be the “criminal lawyer” that he has shown himself to be over on Breaking Bad. This is where we get closer to the finish line, though we don’t think that we are 100% there just yet. Think of this season more as someone running towards that banner and crossing the tape, but still recognizing that there’s still a chance for things to go awry. Nothing is stable with the future just yet.
