‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Meet the dad of Kat Graham’s Bonnie

If there is one thing that we have learned about Bonnie Bennett on “The Vampire Diaries,” it is that she does not exactly have the best relationship with her family in the world. As a matter of fact, we have time and time again seen her struggle when it comes to dealing with abandonment issues, and the confrontation that she had with her mother did not go particularly well.

So what exactly is Bonnie’s father going to want when he manages to pop into town a little bit later? That we do not know at the moment, though we can at least say just who is going to be responsible for playing him. Multiple sources have confirmed that the role will be portrayed by actor Rick Worthy, who actually has a rather ironic connection to vampires already in that he plays one on another CW series in “Supernatural.”

So what are we going to see from this character? Like everything else, that is very much a mystery. Bonnie’s father has barely even come up as a subject of conversation in the past several seasons, as much more focus has been placed both on her grandmother and her mother than someone that she has not spoken to for year. We are sure he is not going to just be popping in to say “hello,” and there will be a pretty important reason why he is lurking around Mystic Falls. As for whether or not this reason will benefit Bonnie in any way, it is fair to say at the moment that we are pretty doubtful.
