Blue Bloods season 10 episode 2 is set to air come October 4, and there is a lot of different stuff to expect! That includes getting a chance to see the return of a character in Vincent Rella who we haven’t seen in quite some time.
To be specific, it’s been 2015 since Dan Hedaya first appeared on the CBS show in the aforementioned role. That’s a lot of time for the character to change, or for there to be a different sort of story all around him. What we can tell you for now is that he will be tied to Danny and Baez’s story, and the Blue Bloods season 10 episode 2 synopsis below hands down a little more information:
“Naughty or Nice” – Frank and Erin are at odds when Frank learns the D.A.’s office keeps a list of NYPD cops they consider “unreliable.” Also, Danny and Baez recruit retired mobster Vincent Rella (Dan Hedaya) to assist in an investigation, and Jamie participates in a decoy operation to take down a predator posing as a ride-share driver, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Oct. 4 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

We’re all for getting a chance to see former guest stars back on the show again, especially ones who we haven’t seen in a while. It gives us a chance to learn a little bit more about them, and also how the impact everyone else!
As for the other parts of this episode, it all feels fairly standard Blue Bloods fare … but there is some fascinating stuff in here as well. Take, for example, the idea of the DA’s office rating cops by their perceived skill level. What if someone was just caught on a bad day? It feels like there are a lot of different ways that this could end up going south, and that could be one of the things that Frank has some issues with in the end.
