Legacies season 2 promo: A forgotten Hope & the darkness to come

For some evidence of what that could look like, the promo gives you a sense that something is missing. Characters recognize it, but they can’t quite figure out what it is. There are huge parts of their memory that are just gone and that’s heartbreaking. It’s one of the most painful things you can imagine. With death, there is at least a legacy (show pun intended) that you leave behind. With a situation like this, there’s no legacy. There is just an empty space and a void that you have to contend with.
There are some serious Teen Wolf season 6 vibes with the Hope storyline, but we’re sure that this version of the whole “missing from memory” plot will have some different wrinkles. For starters, we imagine that you’re going to see a whole lot more of Danielle Rose Russell than you did Dylan O’Brien when that storyline happened in season 6. The larger question we’re left to wonder with Hope is just how long the writers want to separate her from the group? This is the sort of show that benefits from having her with a lot of the established characters and judging from some of the new castings we’ve heard about — including new siblings who both have feelings for Hope — we imagine that her isolation will be fairly brief.
Yet, what happens to bring her back? What sort of cost could there be to that? We wouldn’t be shocked if this is some of the stuff that ultimately leads Legacies down an especially dark direction. We’ll see how things play out there over time.
