Jersey Shore Family Vacation: Mike ‘The Situation’ released from prison
In a new post on Instagram, Lauren Sorrentino confirmed that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has been officially released from prison, having him back home and spending time with his friends and loved ones once more. According to TMZ, there were a number of people waiting for him — including some of his Jersey Shore roommates — ready to welcome him back into the real world. The report doesn’t note if all of them were waiting for him immediately outside of the prison, but he should reconvene with everyone over the rest of the day.
We’re sure that at some point down the road, Mike’s release from prison is going to be a big storyline for Jersey Shore Family Vacation — it’s kind of hard for it not to be. This is a moment that has been months upon months in the making, and it is the moment where The Situation is no longer “under construction.” He’s paid his debt to society and from here, he can have an opportunity to live his best life. Think along the lines of funfetti, pizza, other food products, and enjoying his time with some of his friends and of course his wife. Lauren (or Laurens, as she is often called by him) has become somewhat of a regular presence on Family Vacation this season, as the female cast members have all made a concentrated effort to get to know her and support her while Mike was away. Yet, Lauren also clashed recently with Angelina Pivarnick over Angelina’s social-media habits during some of Mike’s time behind bars.
While you prepare to see what Mike is like now that he’s on the outside of those prison walls, know that the new episode of Jersey Shore is airing tonight on MTV. It’ll be a trip back in time, and the first one that The Situation himself can live-tweet in quite some time.
