The Good Doctor season 3 trailer: Is Claire too involved in Shaun, Carly?
Let’s start things off here by looking at the world of Shaun Murphy through the lens of medicine — that is, after all, what a show like The Good Doctor wants for us to do! This will always be about the work that these characters do within the St. Bonaventure Hospital, and how Shaun is willing to take tremendous risks in order to ensure that lives are saved. You see him do that in this trailer, and refuse to give up on patients even when it seems like there is almost no help left for them.

Is Shaun going to push things too far at times in his pursuit of medical miracles? We do wonder that, mostly due to the fact that in the closing seconds of the promo that we have for you below, you see that someone may be threatening Shaun’s medical license. We’ve already seen him temporarily lose his job; what about his ability to practice medicine overall?
What’s happening next with Shaun and Carly?
Entering the upcoming premiere episode, one of the things that we know is that these two characters are going to have their first date. Because these doctors all love Shaun, they’re going to want to get all of the details … but there’s also a difference between being curious and going too far. Amidst the trailer, at one point Carly tells Claire to “butt out” of the relationship that she’s in with Freddie Highmore’s character, a sign that Dr. Browne is perhaps taking too much of an interest. Is she doing this because she genuinely wants to help, or is she interested on some level in Shaun herself? We don’t necessarily think it has to be the latter, but it is the sort of question that could be easily asked in this situation. Also, consider that Claire doesn’t know how to react in general to Shaun’s dating life, as she hasn’t seen him in this position before.
