Law & Order: SVU season 21 premiere details: Carisi’s big story
What can we say about the upcoming Carisi story? Per NBC, “changes in the squad room put Carisi between a rock and a hard place.” As for what that means, it could have to do with the relationship he has with other squad members, just as it may also have to do with work conflicts or even his status in the team. No matter, it looks like he may find himself within somewhat of a no-win situation. What we feel is that with Carisi, we both know a lot and very little at the same time. For example, we’re fully aware of his skill set, but not often what his day-to-day life is like. He doesn’t have the same personal life as Benson or Rollins, where much of it is made much clear to us.

As for what else is coming up in the premiere, “I’m Going to Make You a Star” is going to featuring Ian McShane as a “high-powered media mogul” who is accused of sexually assaulting an actress. As a result of that, “Benson finds herself in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse.” Because of the power that McShane’s character wields, odds are that he will do everything within his power to make things difficult on her. That means possibly using money and power in order to ensure that he is protected.
Luckily, if there is anyone who is going to take a guy like this down, it’s Olivia Benson. The bulk of the premiere will probably be spent focusing on this. Meanwhile, we imagine that elsewhere, we’re going to have a chance to see Carisi’s story unfold as well and we couldn’t be more excited.
