The Rookie season 2 premiere spoilers: First details on ‘Impact’

Are you ready to see what is coming up on The Rookie season 2 premiere? Come September 29, you’ll have a chance to see it! You’re going to see a lot of different stuff brought to the forefront here, whether it be the resolution of the cliffhanger or then also getting a chance to jump forward and see the other side.

Also, know that this episode is going to feature a big cameo — think in terms of Dallas Mavericks owner and then star of Shark Tank in Mark Cuban. He’ll be playing himself, which is fine given that Cuban is a big enough character in his own right.

“Impact” – Danger is ever-present as the officers of the Mid-Wilshire precinct grapple with the aftermath of a plotted attack on the city of Los Angeles, leaving Officer Bradford fighting for his life in the season two premiere of “The Rookie,” airing SUNDAY, SEPT. 29 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (TV-14, V) Episodes can also be viewed on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu. Flash forward two weeks and the rookies receive the shocking results of their latest training exam, leaving one officer questioning what the future holds. Meanwhile, tension develops at home as Nolan and Lopez advance in their relationships with Jessica and Wesley.

This episode is going to be obviously an intense one, but also a strange one. For starters, it’s going to be the first without Afton Williamson after her departure. (Just for the record, we haven’t heard anything in regards to an investigation brought on by her charges of on-set harassment during the first season.) In terms of the story, we are going to see the evolution of John Nolan as he works to figure out where his future is going to lie within the LAPD. He’s proven that he is a good cop, but beyond that there are still questions as to what his long-term future with the department will be. Are we going to have a chance to see where he ultimately lands?
