The Masked Singer season 2 promo hypes up all of the mystery
Think about the story in this particular form: Over the next several weeks, a group of masked strangers are going to make their way onto television screens around the country. It’s up to the intrepid judging panel to get to the bottom of who could be … if they can. In reality, though, there isn’t exactly all that much when it comes to stakes on the show at the moment. There’s no reward the judges get for being right with their guesses — as a matter of fact, it’s almost better if they’re wrong! You don’t actually want anyone to be able to figure things out because if they do, it ruins a certain amount of the surprise.

In general, we hope that The Masked Singer season 2 does a little bit of a better job keeping some parts of the show a secret for as long as humanly possible. That was one of the biggest issues that the first season had — some of the singers were a little obvious from the get-go and then beyond that, there were others that were all but given away by some of the clues that were handed down over the course of the season.
What we know entering the second season more than anything is this: We’re very much excited! There is a simple sort of joy that comes with watching these performances, especially since you know that the contestants (while sweaty) are having just as much fun as anyone.
