We’ll admit that when Cara opted to go to Paris at the end of last season to work on writing a book about the efforts of Simon Hayes and company, we wondered if we would actually see it. After all, it would’ve been easy to flash-forward to the other side of it in the premiere, where Cara was back in New York City reconnecting with some of her friends.
Yet, the photos here confirm that there is an actual chance to see Paris within the premiere — we know that some scenes were shot there, which had to be a lot of fun for Violett Beane. The image below shows her with Simon, while the photo above may show her working in what is probably the best possible place to work — right in front of the Eiffel Tower.
We would imagine that getting a chance to work at this sort of landmark is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the sort of thing that most people would love to have an opportunity to do. In general, this should be a really rewarding experience for Kara, but it does lead still to more questions regarding what could happen in her relationship with Miles. The two care about each other, but will their time apart change them? Maybe at first, but there’s something about their personalities that make us think that, one way or another, they’ll find a way to gravitate towards each other. They also have a mutual interest in working on the God Account — just remember that entering the premiere, they both have a similar goal!
Season 2 of God Friended Me is going to air on CBS when you get around to the end of September.
