Outlander season 5: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe tease moments
For the sake of this article, we thought that we’d share a few other odds and ends from something else that came out yesterday — a quick Instagram Q&A session featuring Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. The two are hard at work filming new episodes in Scotland, and did the Q&A from the set of a kitchen. Sam was asked what his favorite scene was to film to date for this season, and without giving anything major away, he said that it involved a returning character. Meanwhile, Caitriona noted that her favorite part of the new season was Jamie and Claire’s new home — more than likely, she’s talking about the Big House that was being worked on long before filming even began.
On a different note, Caitriona and Sam talked about working with Adso the Cat, who Balfe described as “quite temperamental.” Adso, per Sam, doesn’t want to be in a scene so much as just lie in front of the fire.
In the end, the video was mostly set up for the purposes of announcing the premiere date, but we have a feeling that there could be more coming up at some point in the future. These little peeks are always appreciated since it’s a chance to get some great behind-the-scenes insight and, in all honesty, there aren’t too many opportunities that you get on this during the season. We’ll take and relish every little preview that we can along the way with that in mind.
