‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: Even more from Kit Harrington
Just in case you have not yet enough just yet from Kit Harrington’s recent string of promotional interviews at New York Comic-Con, we have another comment here about just how epic the third season of “Game of Thrones” is currently slated to be. (Of course, the irony here is that Harrington was actually in New York to promote the latest “Silent Hill” movie, and that was just one thing that came up in the conversation.)
Specifically, Harrington is speaking here per ScreenCrush, and he goes on to explain that even when it comes to the budget, everything is heightened this season versus a second year that also had plenty of money behind certain scenes (in particular the Battle of Blackwater):
“It’s gonna be a high-impact season. They’ve [HBO] thrown more money at it than they’ve ever thrown. Everyone’s story lines seems to have something which is just… I don’t know, I feel about ‘Thrones’ that this season is gonna be kind of the iconic one. I don’t know if that’s going too far, but I don’t want to give anything away, but I’m genuinely very excited.”
Just some of the major events that we can confirm you will be seeing this season are Harrington’s Jon Snow finally coming into contact with Mance Rayder (Cirian Hinds), more Lannister fighting than ever before, and the culmination of it all in the Red Wedding, which may be one of the most gruesome events to take place in George R.R. Martin’s entire series. We’re not sure how many characters Jon Snow will for sure interact with other than Mance and Ygritte, or at least this is what we can say without giving anything away to those who have not read the books.
Do you agree with Harrington’s comments?
