Fuller House season 5: Andrea Barber writing episode
In a new post on her official Instagram Stories, Barber confirmed that she has written the thirteenth episode of the fifth season, one that should be filmed over the weeks to come. While there’s no clear word on what to expect within this episode, we have a feeling that she knows these characters better than almost anyone. After all, we’re talking about someone here who grew up on the show! These characters and this world are ingrained in her fully and she understands them backwards and forwards so we expect great things from her.
Barber writing an episode of Fuller House does continue a trend of cast members being involved in a number of different aspects of the show. For example, Candice Cameron Bure and Dave Coulier have each directed episodes, while Full House star John Stamos both recurs on the new series and also serves as an executive producer. Being a part of this world is clearly a collaborative experience, one in which everyone comes together in order to produce the best episodes possible. The audience itself has a role to play in this show, since they offer up energy and enthusiasm to all of the cast who are there witnessing the action in-person.
We would expect that Barber’s episode would contain just about everything that you would want in a given half-hour — think in terms of broad comedy and also some sentimental family moments.
Fuller House season 5 will premiere (at least the first half of its final-season episodes) later this year. Hopefully, we’ll get some more news in the form of a premiere date or at least a teaser at some point this fall. It’s a little bit early to get some of that information now, though we certainly wouldn’t be opposed to the folks at Netflix going ahead and unleashing a little bit of additional information sooner rather than later.
