The Walking Dead season 10 teaser all about new goals, horizons

Walking Dead season 8

The Walking Dead season 10 is set to arrive on Sunday, October 6, and the latest teaser is all about a new world for the zombie-fighters.

While to date AMC has used mostly Daryl, Carol, and Michonne in order to sell the new season, this promo (that CarterMatt has for you below) takes more of an ensemble approach. After all, you get in here glimpses of Judith, Negan, Eugene, and a number of other familiar faces — alongside their weapons. They claim that when the dust settles, their primary goal is working in order to stop some of the whisperers … a clear reminder that the Whisperers have a role still to play. This season will feature more battles as well as philosophical questions as to who people should really be on the other side of the zombie apocalypse. Is it really a good thing to operate with a set of rules?

What’s so tricky about the upcoming The Walking Dead is that the headlines surrounding some of the departures are almost more prominent than the characters who are on the show itself. There’s so much conversation about the departure of Danai Gurira, the status of the Rick Grimes movies, and then also learning a little bit more about whether or not Maggie could return? There are also some questions out there about whether or not we could be seeing the end of the road for Rosita, given that Christian Serratos is also circling a new series project.

Given that we are entering season 10 of The Walking Dead, we are at a point where conversations around endgames are swirling in just about every direction. Everyone has that sort of innate curiosity all about how they expect to see a project end, and while this may not be the final season, the writers will probably have endgames on their mind.
