NCIS season 17 premiere extended trailer: Cote de Pablo’s epic return
In this trailer, you get more insight into various aspects of the episode entitled “Out of the Darkness,” including Ziva naming the person who is after her: Sahar. This is a new character played by Mouzam Makkar, and someone who Ziva doesn’t seem to know too much about when it comes to who she is or what her motives are. What she knows is that she’s dangerous and that Gibbs is also know in her crosshairs. Together they will have to find a way to get out of this mess.
What’s also interesting about this trailer is seeing how some of the rest of the team react to Ziva coming back from the dead which is what we have been the most excited to see! Palmer looks like he’s about to pass out, Torres is shocked (he previously ruled it out), and McGee seems to be very angry. He’s upset at someone over keeping the information from him (which is more then just a little bit understandable), and we have to imagine that person is probably Bishop. She’s known for a good chunk of this year Ziva was alive and kept it from everyone and with McGee caring about Ziva like a sister, he feels like she owed it to him to tell the truth about what was going on.

There is an awful lot of story that the NCIS writers are going to be unpacking in regards to Ziva, including the fact that we’re going to have Cote for a good few more episodes beyond this one. With that in mind, we would be surprised to get resolution on everything within the premiere episode (and to be frank we don’t want everything crammed into just one episode), including whether or not we’re going to see Ziva and Tali reunite … let alone bringing Tony back into the fold for an episode. Those are possibilities are far from confirmed … but for now let’s enjoy the journey for what it is, and that includes paying a visit to Ziva Town for the premiere episode. Get excited! September 24 isn’t that far away.
