FROM season 5 spoilers: What is Fatima’s future?

Heading into FROM season 5, we know that we are likely down two characters in Marielle and Elgin. However, what about Fatima? We saw her transform into a monster in the final moments of the season 4 finale, and that could suggest that we will be seeing a lot less of her.

However, at the same time, also remember that this show does have a knack for being relatively unpredictable. Does Fatima have to stay a monster forever? There are a lot of possible questions to be answered and as of right now, we tend to think that the show will have a great time trying to figure some of this out.

Speaking to Collider, executive producer Jeff Pinkner had the following to say about what the show is doing with this character, while also expressing here it could go from here:

Body horror has been part of the show from the beginning. We have an unbelievable prosthetics and special effects team, and I think we’re all fans of body horror. David Cronenberg happens to be one of my favorite directors. Fatima’s becoming a monster… where that ends would require us to give away spoilers for Season 5. It’s a story that we’re still telling, so we’re going to be reluctant to talk about that specifically.

But Pegah [Ghafoori] has been spectacular at conveying the emotions of this transformation … The way that our characters are transforming based on being in this town — some of them for the better, some of them for the worse. Victor has survived. It has transformed him as a person. Donna has transformed. Being in this town has made her maternal instincts come out. Obviously, Fatima’s transformation is much more specific and consequential, maybe, but it’s a theme of our show that we’re exploring in many different ways.

In other words, there is still a huge story here to explore, one that the writers are very-much eager to get more into — even if there are parts of it that take a little while to still figure out.
