Outlander notes: Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton headlines
Let’s start things off by looking at what is going on when it comes to Sam. He’s been in Montreal over the past several days, leading of course to questions about what he could be doing there given that the Starz series is currently in production. It’s not exactly a vacation. Instead, a local publication notes that there are reshoots going on there for Bloodshot. Sam may not have had a lot of time in order to make filming happen for the movie, but he was able to at least arrange a little bit of time in his schedule. Because he is a series regular on Outlander, his work as Jamie Fraser always takes to priority.
Bloodshot should hit theaters in 2020, just as Outlander season 5 will on Starz. Basically, what we’re trying to say is that he is going to have an incredibly busy next several months ahead for him. For those wondering, Sam confirmed on Twitter that he is already heading back to Scotland, presumably for more filming.
Caitriona Balfe and Sophie Skelton’s new charity campaign
We’ve known for some time that Balfe is a patron for World Child Cancer, and she is also doing what she can now to speak to another cause as well: Overall good health and well-being via the #TogetherBand movement. It’s a way to spread awareness to try and make the world a better place — think in terms of helping to prevent disease and encouraging those all over the world to live a happy, healthy life. The green bands that Caitriona, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin are wearing are a symbol of this movement. (Skelton also posted her own post on Instagram about the subject, as well.)
