America’s Got Talent: Why Eric Chien, Dom Chambers should advance
Sure, their showdown wasn’t a literal one necessarily, since there were other people on the show tonight. Also, we’d do our best to advocate for both Dom and Eric moving forward into the next round for a multitude of reasons.

Dom Chambers – We’d give this act an A for presentation more so than anything. The graphics were outstanding and the creativity of it was next level. Actually getting famed AGT act Tape Face to make a cameo at the end was a stellar move. The actual trick itself was really just a math riddle, where regardless of the male act you chose, you would end up at Tape Face at the end. It’s similar in that way to X on Britain’s Got Talent, but the first time you see something like this it makes sense that you’d be totally shook.
Eric Chien – Simon’s red shirt may have made him red with rage or something, as there’s no real reason why he should’ve disliked this act like he did. What Eric did throughout his performance was fairly fantastic, as he was able to turn candy into Rubik’s cubes and vice-versa. Sometimes, great magic can be small and still magical. The precision that Eric has is next-level and he’s so innovative with what he chooses to do. He doesn’t have the same charisma onstage as Dom, but that doesn’t make him less skilled.
Given how America is often fond of magic acts, we do think that both of these two move forward to the next round — if they don’t, it will be one of the sadder results of the season.
