Moving into Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 12 next week, it shouldn’t be a surprise that we’re getting another spotlight. These days, it feels like most of these episodes are focusing mostly about a few characters rather than the larger group. We imagine that, for starters, it’s a little cheaper to do things this way. Also, it’s just easy to craft a cool story with a small number of characters in a given week. Let’s just say it like this — it’s hard to include every series regular in every story without making it feel a little bit too crammed.
So where are we going moving into next week? Think along the lines of “Ner Tamid,” an installment that is themed all around Charlie making an unusual connection — and also visiting a surprising place. The Fear the Walking Dead season 5 episode 12 synopsis has some more news as to what’s coming up next:
In search of a permanent home for the convoy, Charlie is drawn to a synagogue where she encounters a rabbi surviving on his own; Sarah and Dwight face unexpected foes.
For those wondering, “Ner Tamid” is an important light signifying the presence of God, one that is often found within the world of synagogue. This is an episode that could explore faith in its own way. It’s certainly possible that the show’s version of the rabbi ends up bearing some similarities to Father Gabriel from The Walking Dead proper.
As for what we are going to see happen for Sarah and Dwight, we’re kinda curious first and foremost about how these two characters ended up really sharing a storyline together. After all, we haven’t seen them share this huge abundance of screen time for most of the season. We know that Dwight has made this concentrated effort now to be this better and kinder person, but the question you should be led to wonder is if he can keep that up.
